- 2012 Will mark Ray Navarrete’s 13th season of professional baseball. The former Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, and New York Mets Prospect has spent the the previous 6 seasons with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League.
- Navarrete has been named a minor league All-Star 5 times respectively (2002 Carolina League, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 Atlantic League)
- Navarrete’s best season came in 2009 while playing for the Long Island Ducks. During that season, Navarrete was the first Long Island Duck in Franchise History to be named the Atlantic Leagues Most Valuable Player. Playing for former New York Met Legend and Hall of Famer Gary Carter, Navarrete led the Atlantic League in Games Played (139), Hits (164), Runs Scored (106), & Runs Batted In (96), while finishing second in the league in Home Runs (25).
- In 2011, Navarrete became the Long Island Ducks All-Time Leader in Hits, and enters the 2012 season as the Long Island Ducks All-Time Leader in Hits, Home Runs, and RBI’s.
- Prior to his professional career, Navarrete received a scholarship to play baseball at Seton Hall University of the Big East Conference, where he studied business and communications.
